The apartment is located in one of its many alleys known for its many famous restaurants and nightclub, Scala street.
The apartment is about 38mq., being a ground floor and staying in a beautiful courtyard, enjoys the privilege of staying very quiet but at the same time, coming out, enjoys the highest of joy and fun, then has a nice outdoor area of about 12mq. that belongs to the house where you can eat outdoors in peace.
It consists of a single environment rather large to small, typical and comfortable as all covered with wood, both floors and the beamed ceilings, at the entrance there is a small table with chairs, a sideboard rustic, a small sofa and an armchair, then going a step almost as a separate environment, there is a double bed and a small wardrobe, a small stereo with CD and a large flat screen TV, hanging high on the wall opposite the bed.
There is the possibility to accommodate another person also.
Returning to the entrance, near the dresser, there is a little kitchen, furnished and equipped with a mini-fridge, cooking machine with an oven, and finally in front of it, there is a small bathroom with a bathtub. There are always clean towels and sheets. The house is provided with an air conditioner that in addition to functioning as heating, also functions as a conditioner in summer, this allows that the environment, not being very large, reaching immediately in both cases the ideal temperature. There are a hair dryer and an iron.
Easily accessible from the main train station in Rome, Termini Station, by many bus that in 20 minutes take you to Viale Trastevere directly, the Sonnino/S.Gallicano bus stop and then from there by walking a few meters, we arrive at home, maybe going to the famous restaurant "La Parolaccia". Near there is the famous American University. Always walk, from Trastevere you can reach the most beautiful sites that there are to visit in Rome, such as Castel Sant'Angelo, the Gianicolo, the Tiber Island, Testaccio, not to mention the famous Porta Portese market. In short, for those who come from far away to Rome, Trastevere is undoubtedly one of the very best that lends itself to everything.
From the airports, the first one Fiumicino, Leonardo da Vinci and the other one Ciampino, you can take the internal train or the bus shuttle to reach Termini Station in 45 minutes or you can take a taxi.
Although it is not equipped with free Wi-Fi in front of the house there is a very quaint and cozy bar where you can enjoy this service consuming maybe a good cup of coffee.
As there is a washing machine, on the other hand, in one of the alleys adjacent house, there is the possibility to use the laundry where, at very low cost, in less than an hour you can wash its dirty laundry.
The bed is double but for people with a not very large body structure.
In the apartment there is available the use of a little pc (Wi-Fi there isn’t in the flat as it’s written on the advert) and it can be used in the numerous coffee/bar near the flat where there is free Wi-Fi. All the restaurants, bar etc. in Trastevere have free Wi-Fi.
Add cost a part the tourist taxes for the stay to give by cash at the arrival :
3,50 euros per person per night.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING TO REMIND ON THE BASE OF THE TOURISM RULES WE HAVE TO RESPECT IN OUR CITY IT IS OBLIGATORY BY OUR TOURISTS GIVE COPIES OF THEIR VALID DOCUMENTS OF TRAVEL ( PASSPORTS OR IDENTITY CARDS ) AT THE ARRIVAL
IN MY CASE I HAVE TO SEND THOSE COPIES TO MY POLICE STATION OFFICE BY THE NEXT 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR ARRIVAL TO MY FLAT TO DECLARE YOUR ENTRY TO ROME AND YOUR STAY IN MY FLAT DURING THE PERIOD OF YOUR BOOKING
|Arrivée avant||Sur arrangement|

This is one of the WIMDU places where one is sorely tempted not to write too enthusiastically about, lest it is booked solid when you ever want to come back. The apartment is located in a very posh neighborhood of Northern Rome named Parioli (lots of embassies etc). No surprise that the quarter is packed with nice restaurants, shops and up market food stores etc.. Right across the street is an excellent pizza place called “La Parioli” that became our favorite. It is usually packed with Romans which is always a good sign (--> make a reservation, especially on weekends or eat well before 8 pm when the place starts to fill up). The many embassies also have the nice side effect that police is never far and I would rate Parioli one of the safest if not the safest and quietest neighborhood in central Rome. The great thing is that despite these obvious advantages, all the major sights of Rome are just a 30 minute walk away. A reasonably fit person can cross the Villa Borghese park (also great for running) and be on the Spanish steps in 25 minutes. If you don’t like walking, there is a direct bus to Termini station (Number 223) or trams number 3 and 19 within reasonable walking distance (600 m/yards).
The place itself is something very special and unique. It looks as if it was originally a janitor’s/caretaker’s/chauffeur’s apartment and is located in the inner courtyard of a classic Rome apartment block from the late 19th century. The best way to describe it is a free standing bungalow in the inner courtyard. It is only accessible by descending a stair, so it is decidedly not suitable for handicapped persons (but the owner points this out). If one opens all the shutters, the place is very light but the downside is that people have a clear view at you from the surrounding apartments. We were there in March but I would imagine that the place is also very cool during the stifling hot summer months. The furnishing is adequate, no-nonsense IKEA fare down to the brightly colored sheets. There is a small fully equipped kitchen (no oven) and a very small but sufficient fridge. To us, eating out quickly loses its appeal if you have to do it every day so it was nice to be able to occasionally make simple dishes like Spaghetti Aglio I Olio or cook some artichokes to be enjoyed with some wine after a long day of sightseeing. A particular PLUS for the place are three things that can –at least from our past experience- prove sore points in Italy. One: there is plenty of hot water for all occupants to have decent showers in the morning! Two and three: The heating system works in cold weather and the AC works in hot weather! The owner, Emanuela, is very helpful and will provide you with loads of useful information before you arrive. She also responds to e-mails and text messages within an hour at the most. Her assistant, Mauro, speaks good English and explained the workings of the place well. Our seven days have been an altogether memorable experience and we will definitely be back!
very good location.
The apartment was good and clean. The negative was the smell of damp and that there was no daylight.
We absolutely felt in love with Emanuela's place! Best choise for staying in Rome - Parioli is a beautiful district, well-located, not very touristic, with great places for dinner and breakfast nearby (We loved a lot our breakfasts with fresh croissants in Il Dodo (2 mins from flat - just cross the street, and dinner in La Pariolina - same located just at the opposite side of the street). The supermarket is also in walking distance.
The flat itself is just terrific. First of all, it is a real "villa" inside the house :) If you will go there you will understand what I mean :) Very tidy, spacious, full of light, 2 comfortable bedrooms (although we were 2 couples and 1 room had 2 separate beds we had a comfortable sleep for 3 nights). There are even windows in the ceiling which we loved a lot! The bathroom is spacious and clean, the kitchen is very comfortable and well-equipped.
Emanuela's assistant Mauro was very polite and was waiting for us when we were late due to the tough traffic in Rome (if you travel in the evening by car from the Southern part of Rome - estimate your staying in the traffic for at least 2 hours, as the flat is located just in the opposite part of Rome). Although we've found a free parking near the home next day we dropped off the car as it is almost impossible to drive it in Rome - better choose a scooter :D
Villa Borghese is just 20 mins walking, the city centre - 40 mins by foot or 15 mins by bus. We have chosen walking and enjoyed the beautiful streets of Rome.
We did not meet Emanuela herself, but she communicates with us very responsibly and she is very reliable, she gave us all directions and a lot of tips before our arrival to Rome, which we appreciate a lot.
Emanuela, thank you for everything! We enjoyed our stay and definitely next time in Rome will come back to your place!
Grazie mille and buona fortuna!
The apartment is in a fantastic place, in trevi, it's small and has facilities for short stays. There is only a narrow window that we keep covered with the blind because is on the street level.
We were met by Mauro at the apartment and was so taken by surprised at the place. It was smaller than what we saw on the internet and the sofa bed at the attic was a nightmare. The sofa bed keeps going out of place and the it was too small for 2 person. Getting up was also a nightmare as we keep getting our heads knock each time we get up. Cutleries was not sufficient and toilet door can be opened even when we lock it from the insides. The main bed (pull out) was right in front of the stove. We had a big big bad nightmare staying there for 5 nights.
Kortom: goede service!
